What Did God Say to You?

February 14

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Revelation 2:7

As we pause this week, the question becomes more personal.

Not, What did you read or what did you understand? But, What did God say to you?

Jesus speaks these words repeatedly in Revelation, and not as a rebuke, but rather as an invitation to listen attentively, to notice the quiet ways the Spirit speaks, and to respond with humility rather than haste.

God often speaks more clearly than we realise. Yet His voice is easily crowded out by the noise, routine, distractions and the pressure to move quickly from one thing to the next. That is why moments like this Selah matter. They give us room to listen again.

Over the past days and weeks, God may have highlighted a truth, stirred a conviction, or drawn your attention to something that needs more time. It may not have come as a loud instruction, but probably as a persistent nudge, a sense that something matters and you need to think about it more.

Today is not about forcing clarity or coming to answers. It is about creating space to listen and hear. To sit quietly with God and ask, what have You been saying to me?

Listening is an act of trust. It assumes that God is present, that He speaks, and that He desires to be heard. As we pause and reflect, we prepare ourselves to move forward, and to be led by His voice.

Prayer

Father God,
Give us ears to hear what Your Spirit is saying. Quiet the noise around us and within us. Help us to recognise Your voice and respond with openness and trust. As we pause, teach us to listen.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
