Christians will not agree on everything. We have different traditions, different styles of worship, and different understandings of some secondary doctrines. But something is wrong when Christians who confess the same Lord begin to behave as though Kingdom work belongs to our particular tribe.

If we share the historic gospel of Jesus Christ, perhaps our first instinct should be to ask what we can faithfully do together, rather than searching for the reason we must remain apart.

Jesus prayed that His followers would be one. Paul asked, “Is Christ divided?” Across the centuries, Augustine, Spurgeon, C. S. Lewis, John Stott and Martin Luther King Jr all wrestled with the same underlying tension.

This is a reflection on truth, unity, tribal identity, and what Kingdom-first collaboration might actually look like.

John Piper’s reading refuses two dangerous distortions. Despair, which says, “If I still struggle, salvation must not be real.” Denial, which says, “If I am saved, my struggle doesn’t matter.”

I’ve Got a Sound Mind: Finding Peace in the Storm

Anxiety. Fear. Overwhelm. Psalm 131 reminds us: “I have calmed and quieted my soul.” Jesus still speaks the same words today: “Quiet! Be still!”

This reflection shows how God offers peace that no storm can shake. You are not defined by your past or your struggles, God is with you, and He has given you a sound mind.
