Keep Going - Don’t Give Up

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” - Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV)

Are you weary? Feeling like giving up?

Maybe you're standing at a threshold like the Israelites were, facing uncertainty, pressure, or battles that seem too much to carry. It’s not by accident that you’re reading these words today. God sees you. He knows exactly where you are and what you’re carrying. And He is with you.

This verse in Deuteronomy was spoken to God’s people at a crucial moment. Moses, their long-time leader, was preparing them to enter the Promised Land without him. Fear would have been understandable, but God didn’t tell them to muster up their own strength. He told them to trust His presence.

Don’t strive in your own strength. Instead, throw yourself at the feet of Jesus.

Wait on Him. Let your faith be filled with the sure confidence that He is working in you and with you. If you have no strength left, lean on Him. When you do, you’ll find a strength not your own. His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Faith grows through pressure. It’s tempting to avoid trials. But the truth is, faith doesn’t grow in ease, it grows when we’re forced to trust. When we stop depending on ourselves and start walking in step with the direction God is moving. If you're in covenant with Jesus, then He has taken responsibility for your weaknesses. You don’t have to be smart enough, strong enough, or perfect. He covers your lack with His fullness. His abilities make up for your disabilities.

So, keep going. Don’t give up.

You’re not walking alone. You’re walking with the God who goes before you, walks beside you, and will never abandon you. Hold fast to His promise. Let Him be your courage and your strength.

Prayer

Lord, give us inner strength today. Teach us to lean on You, not on ourselves. Thank You that You never leave us and never fail us.

Help us to hold tightly to Your Word and to walk boldly into the days ahead. Amen.
